Taylor Swift announced her new album "The Tortured Poets Department," due to drop in April this year. The announcement was made by the pop singer at the 13th Grammy on February 4, 2024. "This is my 13th Grammy. Which is my lucky number," Swift began. "I don't know if I've ever told you that. I want to say thank you to the members of the Recording Academy for voting this way, but I know that the way that the Recording Academy voted is a direct reflection of the passion of the fans."
"So I want to say thank you to the fans by telling you a secret that I have been keeping from you for the last two years, which is that my brand-new album comes out April 19. It's called 'The Tortured Poets Department,'" she revealed. Taylor Swift shared a post about the album on Instagram soon after accepting her award.
The “Midnights” singer was wearing a white, floor length gown, long black gloves, a timepiece choker necklace, and layered jewelry once she walked the red carpet. She posed, with all her smiles, for photos alongside Lana Del Rey.
Swift’s fans were eagerly looking forward to Travis Kelce attending the awards alongside her. However, that was not be so. Travis Kelce had already scheduled his team’s plans due to which he had expressed his inability to attend the awards.
"I wish I could go support Taylor at the Grammys and watch her win every single award that she's nominated for," he said. "Unfortunately, I got to get ready for this big ole Super Bowl that we got in a week."
Nomination of Swift for six Grammys tonight, including album of the year and best pop vocal album for "Midnights"; song of the year, record of the year and best pop solo performance for "Anti-Hero"; and best pop duo/group performance for "Karma," featuring Ice Spice.
